Chief Physician's Message
Dr. Suat Günsel Girne University Dental Hospital, planned in line with the philosophy of our Founding Rector Dr. Suat Günsel, "Living continental on an island", has been designed to meet all the requirements of modern dentistry and started admitting patients on October 5, 2017.
Our children's and adult clinics, equipped with state-of-the-art units that will serve in eight different branches of dentistry, our fully equipped operating room, computerized dental tomography device, and expert physician staff have the capacity to treat up to 14 patients simultaneously.
Our health services are provided by our contemporary physicians, within the framework of international quality rules, respecting patient rights, being friendly, following innovations, and focusing on the safety and happiness of patients and employees.
Our hospital, with its expert academician and physician staff, technical and medical infrastructure, in addition to being the first fully equipped dental hospital in the Kyrenia Region, also serves patients from different countries who seek health services. In addition to conventional prosthetics, implant application, which contributes significantly to the function and aesthetics of patients that we all know today, has become indispensable in modern dentistry. All the high-level technical equipment required for this application is available within our hospital. Prosthetic dental restorations are performed for our patients using three-dimensional CADCAM technology integrated with the tomography device.
In our clinics, we perform smile design applications, which have been recognized as a significant part of facial aesthetics in recent years, using tooth and gum aesthetics, laser technology, and whitening procedures, with our specialized physicians trained in this field.
Moreover, the treatments of our young, fearful, or disabled patients are carried out under general anaesthesia at Dr. Suat Günsel Kyrenia University Hospital. Our fundamental mission is to optimize the oral and dental health of our community through preventive, inhibitory, and healing practices while providing necessary treatments to our patients.
Among the goals set by the World Health Organization for oral health by 2025, it is anticipated that 90% of children in the five-year age group will have healthy teeth. In this context, we provide services with our specialized pediatric dentists in the treatment and preventive dentistry practices for primary and permanent teeth diseases from infancy to adolescence, alongside adult dental health services.
We conduct infant oral health programs at our hospital to correct the oral and dental health profile of our community.
Elderly, ill, and children are priority groups that require specialized services; therefore, these patients are provided with services from special patient representatives as soon as they arrive at the hospital, and assistance is provided to them to reach the hospital from their homes if necessary. Oral health services are also provided at home for individuals who cannot leave their homes.
With our system established in line with international quality standards in healthcare services, I believe that our hospital will be one of the leading reference centres in dental services. With respect and regards.
