Clear Aligners

Braces consist of brackets used to correct misalignments in teeth and the relationships between jaws, that is the functional relationship between the maxillary and mandibular teeth, namely occlusion. Today, different types of braces are used.

Although the first thing that comes to mind when it comes to braces is metal braces made of stainless-steel materials, ceramic braces are also preferred today due to the increasing aesthetic concern. We can say that ceramic braces, known as clear braces, are opaque white in color, thus providing a more advantageous appearance in terms of aesthetics compared to metal brackets.

The long-term nature of orthodontic treatment has motivated patients to seek aesthetics during their treatment process. Many patients do not want to be treated with metal braces and prefer ceramic braces as an alternative due to the discomfort they may feel in their social and professional lives.

The treatment outcomes of ceramic braces, known as clear braces, are as successful as metal braces. In terms of oral hygiene, compared to metal braces, ceramic braces can be more easily cleaned easier as food residues are more visible on them.
